Date set for Court health care reform arguments

Washington ((CNN)) -the Supreme Court has carved out a week in late March on oral arguments in the case may be the largest in a decade – the sweeping health reform championed by President Obama.

The Court announced Monday it will hear arguments in a 5½ hours spread over three days March 26-28.

The patient protection and affordable care Act (PPACA or ACA) was signed into law on March 23, 2010, passed by the Congress of the Democratic majority with the support of the President. It has approximately 2700 pages and contains some provisions of the 414.

The decision of the Court is expected by the end of June and regardless of the outcome, will be a major issue in the presidential election year.

The largest and most far-reaching legal challenges of protection and affordable care ACT patient comes from a joint filing by States 26, led by Florida. It is a series of appeals the Court of appeal has accepted for review.
